In the ultimately prejudiced environment of the communication and media industry, it is very hard for any writer to justify that he or has been immersed or is tagged as a victim of the so-called discrimination. Under normal circumstances, if the reading public just witness only one point of view, it is also correct that there has been a breach of our freedom of speech.
Whether you like it or not, within its history, when a certain group of individuals has full control of a single segment of a community such abuses are a regular emergence. As an illustration, the BBC news reports segments and news that you will never witness on American Television. However, it might only be the European point of view. At the end of the day, if you want to see the whole picture, you have to see both sides of the story.
Another thing, you have to take an excellent look at the publishing industry. There is objectively one organization of individual who control everything, from the agent search for authors to the printout of the end products or visual representation of motion pictures as well as the retail sale of the content itself.
It seems that an individual has to become one of the organizations, or that individual has to write his own work, and then has to print the end product and promote it without the help of the managing group. That is definitely an impossible role for any normal individual, and that organization is completely aware of an independent writer.
The United States Department of Justice should get an excellent glimpse at this overview of our community. As far as a lot of people know, monopolies are still against the law in the United States. Meaning, discrimination is said to be an unlawful act. No single group should take control of a particular industry whether subjective or objective that serves itself and actually supplements to the public only what they want to release and what the public want you to hear, see and read.
Under normal circumstances, freedom of speech is considered to be one of the most delicate topics that have been unsolved throughout the years all over the globe. All we have to do is to be careful in what we say and do so that we will not be delegated as one attacker of the freedom of speech.
