Freedom of Speech

Support Freedom of Speech 3 300x297 The Irony of Power Versus Freedom of SpeechBasically, there is really a very motivating and remarkable irony between power and the freedom of speech. It is stated that the more powerful a public icon is, the more he has to be careful and watch all the words that are coming to his mouth because the effect of being a multiplier will surely be higher and stronger as compared to an average living individual.

It’s a known fact that always, a powerful and influential politician is the measurement and basis of all kinds of criteria, norms, conduct of all the people especially in his down ranking.

We can use a better analogy if you will bear with me, it is stated that if a mother or a father curses, it is pretty much sure that their children will curse as well. However, if a particular child curses, we usually apprehend him and warn about the bad effects of cursing or otherwise, tell him not do to it anymore because it is bad. Same thing with power and freedom of speech, it is oftentimes abused. And what the child sees to his parents, he will think that it is the right thing to do.

The Freedom of Expression in the state of exclaiming and divulging whatever one wants to say is not just something that people like politicians and celebrity icons has the right to enjoy and practice without any guidelines and grounds for the said consequences. It is not just a thing to just do without prior thinking.

Given the fact that a highly positioned political icon which has a great influence regulates in any kind of community, it would be immature to say that a powerful celebrity and a bum without a home and uneducated practices the same kind of freedom of expression. In any case, a mal-educated individual or a person with an unconscious state of mind enjoys the freedom of speech and expression more that to that of the president or vice president of a particular country. This is because of the fact that wild, foolish, and unwise individual is automatically excused regardless of what he says because there are no con concrete grounds and penalties that answers to all his allegations.

However, those individual who manipulate and exercise ample power in a certain community has to think first before saying anything. He has to watch what he states in a more precise manner because they can spread both positive and negative implications as compared to an average Joe can never accomplish.
