Support Freedom Speech

The United States Constitution is supposed to assure the unchallengeable liberty of freedom of speech. However, there are a lot of people who don’t believe in this and they are still very feisty in passing the “hate speech Law” into the United States. This might be the cause of apprehension. Several secured groups would be covered by this part such as Jews, Moslems, and members of the third sex. These are only some of the groups that can be exempted on people making comments or articles which could be labeled as the famous hate speech.

Basically, a layman’s definition of the so called hate speech is simply to promote the idea of being a bias. These kinds of laws have already been promulgated and passed in multiple countries such as the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. One very good example is when Ku Klux Klansman David Duke went to Europe to give a privilege speech destined for the Czech Republic. He was quickly apprehended and detained because he was tagged as a holocaust denier. But in reality, he doesn’t have the time to state the speech there. He was basically detained because of his previous writings. He was also freed due to public demonstrations and protests. However, he could have been in jail for a long time.

Basically, all the individuals in this planet have the liberty and freedom of speech. However, in one way or the other, we have to be very careful in using such words that may greatly affect one’s character. We also have to make sure who our audiences are because there is also an implication with regards to the age of the people that may be influenced of. Freedom of speech should be exercised in proper venue and should not be misused and abused.

Freedom of Speech is a special power that is possessed by every individual. However, we have to be more responsible with our words and we need to make it in a more stable manner. That is why there is a great saying stated “watch your words”, and it is true when we are trying to exercise the liberty and freedom of Speech. It doesn’t really matter if you are a public icon or a regular citizen, it is best advised to practice your freedom with all care.
